I've just received a bunch of local AFN shows from the 1940s and 1950s. Anyone interested?

AFRTS Canada
Our Friends to the North at d-moose will have AFRTS in the spotlight this weekend. Tip of the hat to the stations that were at:
Armstrong, Ontario
Frobisher Bay
Goose Bay Labrador
Harmon AFB Stephenville Newfoundland
Hopedale Newfoundland
Pagwa River, Ontario
Prince George BC
Ramore Ontario
Resolution Island
Seglek Bay, Newfoundland
St Anthony Newfoundland
Sioux Lookout, Ontario
Those were all one the air in 1961, apparently the libraries ended up at the CBC.
d-moose is a really neat streaming station. http://www.d-moos.com

John Doremus
I found some complete John Doremus shows. John originated in-flight music on aircraft and did a nighttime show in Chicago that was eventually syndicated by the airlines to a lot of stations. John was one of the giants of broadcasting in general and to AFRTS in particular

Stay Tuna'd
Just received a really wonderful email from Charlie Tuna. Says that he's busier than ever."And I’m still catching up on emails, website updates, daily and weekend radio syndication, TV pilots, trip back home to Nebraska to emcee their annual Broadcasters Awards celebration, as well as my K-Earth 101 Los Angeles broadcasting duties" It's really great to hear. He's a class act. The picture, of course is with Lionel Ritchie. See Charlie's website at charlietuna.com

Stars over Los Angeles

Whenever I can locate the AFRTS-LA jocks I ask if they mind us sharing the programs. So far their reactions have been anywhere from excited to not believing that anyone would still care. So far everyone has said 'hey, why not' or better when I've asked. Thank you Charlie Tuna, Gene Price, Jim Pewter, LaRita Shelby, Chris Noel, the Wolfman Jack estate and I've probably left someone out. Thank you.
