Ira was a huge fan of Hawaiian music and played some every day on KMPC
During this time AFRTS had a lot of KMPC. Roger Carroll, Johnny Grant, Ira Cook and probably more.
Ira was a disc jockey in Hollywood for over 25 years working at KMPC the majority of the time.
He also broadcast over the Armed Forces Radio Services.
Ira started his Los Angeles career at Classical KFAC, but his success and long-term longevity came at 710/KMPC.
