I'm wondering about the 'theme-song' of the "platterparty"-show with Paul Wetterhahn. This is really toe-tappin' , knee-knockin'. Has anybody an idea about title and the group? Guenther
Guenther, Here's what I found out about Paul Wetterhahn...
"In 1967 by Paul Drake an American serviceman. Paul was a DJ on the Armed Forces Network STUTTGART. His name is Paul Wetterhahn, and he calls himself Paul Drake, (Drake was his mothers maiden name) He also trades in old radios etc you can visit his web-site."
I was a staff disc jockey with Paul at AFN Bremerhaven in the late 60s. I can hear the Platter Party theme song playing in my head today but can't recall the name. I asked Paul this question a few years ago and he couldn't recall it either. I have since lost contact with him. Army Sergeant Dave Stewart
Hello everyone from Arlington Heights, I am Paul Wetterhahn and I have an air check from Platter Party and still do not know what the theme was. More later as I attempt to get it transferred to digital for post on the net. Great hearing from all who remember me and AFN Bremerhaven. Paul Wetterhahn Paul Drake
Hi Paul: Great to hear from you. Isn't it nice to hear from folks who haven't forgotten us? We'll find that theme song yet. Drop a line to me at SGM85@t-online when you have chance. I am also in contact with Paul Hennessey off and on. Dave, frozen in Germany, Stewart
Yes, these are further names. House of wax at 17:00 hours ... that reminds me somehow of another name: Army Sergeant Jack Mc Nees (at least it sounded like that). Then "on the town" at 12:15 with Dave Stewart and 6:10 in the morning the "rambilly ramble"-shown with Paul Hennessy and later on there was a DJ Mark Beardslee. Brings back fine memories, not only in Germany but also in the Netherlands
Wow, neat picture.
