LaRita Shelby 1994

The party is NOW, with L.A.Rita!

Gene Price 1974

Our friend Gene Price is in rehab after a fall and should be cowboying pretty soon.  Prayers amigo!

I have most of these now, it's some good listening.  In February 1974 Gene was doing his second month of shows for Army recruiting:

All aboard the Country Express!

Wolfman Jack 1974

While Wolfman was doing his AFRTS shows he was also doing shows for Air Force recruiting. These shows aired in the states, usually very early Sunday mornings (they counted as 30 minutes of PSA time).  While he was doing those he was jocking on WNBC NY and doing "Midnight Special" for NBC TV.  Kept busy...

Air Rescue Vietnam 1968

I was going through crates of ETs looking for something else, and found this.  Glad I did.  Air Force SGT Herb Manchester did this from AFVN.

Sometimes AFRTS-LA would have contests.  If something was really well done, it was distributed worldwide.

Charlie Tuna 1982

Charlie Tuna and Del Shannon

On almost everyone's lists of favorite AFRTS jocks, Charlie Tuna's name is there. Here's another example of radio consistency and perfection... Be sure to check out charlietuna.com
