Wolfman Jack 1975

Time for another visit with the Wolfman. Always a wonderful talent. Has anyone seen the Midnight Special DVDs yet? You know those have to be great.

Tom Campbell 1975

Tom Campbell always had a fun show and sometimes the strangest mixes... Tall Tom revisits 1975.  The mustard colored labels were the ugliest ones ever.

Wolfman Jack Christmas 1975

It's 1975 and the Wolf brings in the holiday.  Christmas week the AFRTS network talent did a week of Christmas shows.  Rare when it wasn't week 48-x did they ever play songs of the holiday season.  It was too unpredictable when the shows would be aired.  The Christmas week shows went out 3 or 4 weeks before Christmas week so we'd be ready to go.

Charlie Tuna 1975

Charlie wrote in a few years ago to clear up a mystery I had been wondering about:
"I guess whoever tagged that photo at AFRTS didn't check the spelling on my name. The photo is one of a series of shots that world famous photographer Henry Diltz who's done a bunch of magazine covers of every music star in the world took that day at in Topanga Canyon, and I remember him commenting at the end of the session "We got lucky today, no snakes crawling around in the grass this time"! Thanks Henry:)"

Gene Price 1975

Gene Price mailed me an autographed promo picture (displayed). It means a lot to me. Gene did a similar show to his AFRTS program for army recruiting through Roger Carroll's company. ...

Gene started a lot of our days at zero dark thirty, with Leonard Finsterwall and the crew.

Wolfman Jack 1975

I was visiting a radio pal "Somewhere I have a Wolfman ET, want it?"  That's an easy question.  The disk was trashed and I've spent most of a year trying to get it to track.  The recruiting shows were recorded at the big deal recording studios rather than AFRTS.  Wolf is on a tear...

Pete Smith 1975

When I was in at the stations the Easy Listening shows felt painful. As I "mature" I can understand the genius behind them.
