I’m Chris Noel. In Hollywood, I did films with Elvis and Steve McQueen. In Vietnam, I performed live, and my radio show was broadcast to our troops, both in Vietnam and worldwide.
Then, in 1993, I founded Vetsville Cease Fire House, a non-profit charity based in Florida that is dedicated to providing food, shelter and care for indigent military veterans.

Joe Ferguson
I still say it was one of the nicest things the network ever did. For a while starting in 1983 AFRTS had jocks from all over the country do a series of shows and be the Voice of Home. One of the first was Joe Ferguson in Portland OR. Joe sent us copies of all of the shows. Thank you my friend!

John Doremus 1967
What an incredible voice. Mr Doremus began this style of late night radio on WMAQ Chicago and syndicated on the BIG stations. He also 'invented' in flight music.

Wolfman Jack 1983
When I arrived in Panama, they were scheduling him late in the night. Wolf said something that made someone mad. In a very charming way.
Roger Carroll 1980
Teenage announcer at ABC, decades at KMPC and AFRTS, Roger Carroll has always been an amazing talent. In 1980 he made them the Best Sounds in Town.
I'll always be grateful for the shows he sent, and the help with getting this all online.

Mary Turner 1985
Mary Turner really rocked the house. Normally when any of the jocks got a reaction, it'd be split. The ones that were really liked would draw complaints. I never remember fielding a complaint about Mary. I remember the barracks rocking. Thank you Mary.
Herman Griffith 1965
This would have been the place to rock. Roland Bynum said that Herman introduced him to the AFRTS gig.
Andy Mansfield 1958
Andy and Virginia Mansfield share some highlights of their record collection, and they're excited about it. That always makes for great listening. Andy had to build special shed to store his collection. Hmmm...
Andy went on to do other shows for AFRTS for many years.

Finch Bandwagon 1968
In the late 50s, Bill Finch was producing a big band show in Colorado Springs. By the late 60s The "Finch Bandwagon" was on AFRTS, with a mixture of the Big Bands and smooth jazz.
