Throughout the years, AFRTS has showcased an extensive array of classical music, often introducing it to listeners for the first time and fostering an appreciation for this timeless art form. "Enchantment of Music," initially broadcast by KCBH-FM in Beverly Hills, underwent significant efforts to transition its city of license from Los Angeles to the more prestigious Beverly Hills. Their broadcasts were known for "the matchless fidelity of frequency modulation," a quality anyone could appreciate. And now, Bruce Wendell...

Enchantment Of Music 1964
Over the years AFRTS presented a lot of classical music. For a lot of our listeners, it was the introduction to styles of music that they hadn't heard before. "Enchantment of Music" was originally from KCBH-FM, Beverly Hills. They presented their shows in "the matchless fidelity of frequency modulation". The station was also the first one for The Real Don Steele.
Did we ever actually run these on FM stations?
KCBH sounds like a very interesting place Here's their tribute website

Enchantment of Music - 1961
"Dinner Music" we ran that many different shows. In 1961 KCBH-FM was experimenting with what to do with FM. The matchless high fidelity was a draw. Bruce Wendell brought a nice mix of mostly uptempo orchestral music.

Enchantment of Music - 1963
The matchless fidelity of Frequency Modulation. FM was almost magic. KCBH-FM in Beverly Hills was programming light orchestral music. It was a time when few if any were actally making money with FM. Seems odd... In 1959 Don Steele was there. We ran the show, but very rarely on FM.
Now IHeart owns it "Alt 98.7" just doesn't seem as special.

Just Music - 1967
Just music had several incarnations. Sometimes an hour of segues, sometimes back announced. In 1967 Bruce Wendell, originally from KCBH in Beverly Hills had the reigns. Several years earlier Bruce was the host of "Enchantment of Music", an early show to show off Hifi and FM. Today it's "Just Music"

Enchantment Of Music - 1962
"Enchantment of Music" was a light classical show originated by KCBH-FM, Beverly Hills "in the matchless Fidelity of Frequency Modulation." I'd bet it was usually run on our AM stations.
That was the studio. Bruce Wendell was the talent he bounced through several stations before becoming an executive at Capitol records.
